Welcome to the IPMA-HR Oklahoma Chapter!
As we transition from OPHRA to IPMA-HROK, I would like to thank our outgoing president, Brian Jepsen for his dedicated service, highlighted by our name change. Congratulations to Brian who is now also serving as the Treasurer for the Southern Region.
As we embark on our 40th year as your Public Human Resources Association, our primary focus will be on our most valued part of our organization, *you*, the member, and how we can best serve your needs. In these tough times, it is important to have a great resource you can turn to.
By actively seeking input from our membership, our goal and mission is to strengthen and broaden our knowledge base, continue to provide human resource leadership and advocacy, foster professional development and provide a network of human resource professionals. We do this by providing educational and training opportunities that allow for the HR public service community to come together, exchange ideas and learn from each other.
Our board will be calling on many of you to lend your voice and bring your creativity to one of our committees. If you would like to volunteer, please let us know.
Whether your first day in HR or a veteran, we’re here to serve and help you achieve your HR goals both professionally and personally.
IPMA-HR certification is a great way to attain further public sector knowledge and give you the tools to be at the top of the HR profession.
Our membership is open to all those in the public sector (Federal, State, Local, City, County, Schools). We encourage you to wander through the website and if there are features you would like to see that would benefit the HR community – please let us know.
We look forward to seeing you at our trainings and events.
